Gather what you need before you file. This list is for the 2026 tax year, which you file in early 2027, and it covers the forms most people need.

Not everything applies to everyone, so tick only what fits your situation. Payers send most forms by the end of January, and some, like Schedule K-1s, often arrive later. You must report income whether or not you receive a form.
